can I hook up several tanks for breeding Perculas?

I was thinking of hooking up about 4 different tanks together and running through a sump? I was going to use 53 screen mesh to keep all the rotifers & baby larvae in the tanks? has anyone tried this? also do you think water will move through the mesh quick enough?

anyone have any ideas or pics of there breeding setup?

Better off with stand alone tanks at the larval stage. 53 micron mesh will clog very quickly and cause problems.

Thanks Bill Thats what I thought..at what age will I need to put them in a bigger holding tank? I was just trying to figure a way to keep more of them alive?

Once the go through met and are eating larger foods you can move them up to a bigger tank. As you get more practice and refine your larval skills you will find you get more and more up that point

If you just drip the water through and use a slow bubble for water movement you shouldn't have a problem with the water flowing through the mesh. Yea it will get dirty but it will last til they are big enough.

well I just thought It would help with the survival rate? what is normal say you have 150 larvae how many typically make it?
