in a 28 nanocube? Plenty of rockwork. I already have one but wonder if I can add a second or another type blenny from same family. Thanks in advance

Also interested. I would be surprised if there would be peace, but I have no direct experience with more than just one.

the only thing I got was he had a mating pair in a 70 2-3 yrs ago and was trying to raise the larvae. Didn't help much but thanks anyway

what's an op? And to answer your question of why? Because I find them a fun and comical fish. My question to you is, " If you don't have any input then why post?"

LOL ... why have a reef tank at all??:spin2:

I have one TSB, and would love to have two. My understanding is that like many other fish, they must be male/female to coexist.

I'm not aware of a reliable way to sex them, unfortunately.

I had a female TSB in my 55 for about 6 moths and decided to get a male. They were happy for all of a day, then the female harassed the male till almost death (had to put in sump). You can sex them by their tails, the males have swordtail ends while the females are flat. They dont get along for sure if they are the same sex though, unless you have a large enough tank.

Well said point .... and yep, I think you are right. I did some searching and that's basically what I found too. Unless they pair as m/f then they will be aggressive towards each other.

op means original poster
thank you

are the males only pointed on the bottom or more of a lyretail, top and bottom? Very interestin and thank you for the input, all of you. Going to pass and will just wait for something else to catch me fancy

I know a guy who has two in a 140g tank, he said he bought them when they were very small and that they've never fight with each other. Maybe that is the answer. Watching two of them interact is an unforgettable experience.

When I kept checking around I found posts he made on other forums and concluded not a good idea unless they were a mated pr.

I'm not sure I understand your post. It sounds like you are saying because someone had a mating pair then its ok to have 2 in a tank. If thats your conclusion then I disagree at this time. Can you clarify?

There was a cool thread on here not too long ago talking about how to sex them so you can have a pair.
Didn't sound like it's real easy to tell, but it can be done.
I have one too, and I'd also like to have a pair, one of my fav fish and full of personality.
I think that thread was started by sdguy if that helps search.

Mine is just getting over having a bully in the tank I just finally caught, so he's been on gaurd a bit.
Too bad because he was really out and about right from day one, and he was the smallest TS I've ever seen.
