Can I switch an anemone on a clown?

Can I switch a small sebae for a larger one without a clown noticing?

I inherited two tank raised false percs (later became mated pair) and one black false perc from a friend. Their large sebae had died. The three hung out almost exclusively except for a carpenters wrasse with an identity crisis. All I could find locally was a small sebae which they ignored. Later found a larger green BTA which the pair took too. The black fp tried hosting a large waving hand anthelia for a while but has now taken to the small sebae. Can I get him a larger one without him noticing, or would I be starting from scratch.

Also, am I asking for trouble with two diff anemones in the same tank?

i don;t see why not, more space for the clowns

Clowns will defiantley notice IME. I tried to swap a RBTA in my tank wich was its own clone and they didnt host in it at all? I was totally ****ed because I sold the one they were hosting in but kept the other because it looked much more beautiful.

If you switch anemones, the clown can switch but the real question is whether the clown will.

you can try it, but if the clown isn't stressing the smaller anemone why change it? If your parameters are correct your anemone should grow along with your clown.
