can it be true? male bellus that eats? hooray

well after two tries and very little success, i finally found a male bellus that eats with gusto! im so excited. the other two ive tried where very shy and rarely moved away from their corner. never showed the slightest interest in eating. then i got another chance.

he came in on friday and after acclimating him i placed him in my intank qt. after a day he was eating mysis. late last night i put him the main display. then night time.

i feed every morning after the vhos come on and before the mh ignite. i target fed him mysis and he was a pig. this afternoon i fed my usually fare and he was flying everywhere just like the other fish. no aggression between him and my female and only slight bullying by my achilles and black tang. ill get pix tonight tonight to share.

well here he is

he came in and was either reverting back to a female or changing into a male. when he saw the female the white lines faded quickly. i couldnt get any great shots of this. sorry i tried.

Cool, everytime i've seen a male for sale they look awfull. Or if it's part of a pair, one week later they just have the female left. Does anyone know why the males are so delicate while the females can thrive? Please update this thead now and then.

wow this guy is active. he is all over the place. he isnt even phased when my achilles tang flares up at him.
