I know you can not have everthing, but can this combo work. I am setting up a system so I can have low flow and medium lighting in an area, but will the water be too clean for ricordea in a good SPS tank? How about Zoanthids?
Heck yes, I have Ric's doing well and splitting and zoa's are weeds in my tank. I have actually been eradicating the zoa's as they just want to take over. I would keep them isolated on their own rock.
Just have to find spots with lower flow and possibly lower light. My zoas do OK, my rics do pretty good. I find the rics are a little mor sensitive to higher flow but they can take Aton of light.
I love zoos but some can grow and spread fast and take over a lot of real estate, which is not a good thing in a tank with a lot of SPS dominated tank. I will probably never add them again.....just my 2 cents.
I have trouble with rics, but zoas grow well in my sps dominated tank. Mushrooms grow well, but rics don't. It is odd to me. I agree with keeping zoas isolated as they do take over too much real estate, especially palys.
