if an acro frag starts to recede and turns white soft tissue necrosis from the base plug going up , is it possible that it will stop ? All other acros are doing great this is the only one that didn't do to well being moved from one tank to another. Just wondering if anyone has any tips or stories on how there piece was saved short of having to cut and remount the frag.

It is possable for it to stop and grow back if the underlying problem is adressed. I had this happen in my old tank due to excess phosphates and as soon as I added GFO it reversed.

My hydno STN'd from an ALK spike and lost amomst 80 percent of its flesh. It completely recovered in a month and a half. My acro is STNing from a blenny chomping it repeatedly and i do not thing it will recover. What did you do?

I had about 3 of my acros that were beginning to STN from the base upwards. One was quite severe, and about 50% of it turned white. I figured it was high phosphates b/c I noticed cyano growing even though my nitrates were at 0, so I set up a GFO reactor and the STNing stopped immediately. It's been almost two months since, and all acros are doing great.
