Can Uv System use in SPS Or Lps Tank? And Why?

I am a rookie for Sps... I mix salt and cycle my tanks..
15-25 days Brown Algea Begins. 30-45 days Green Algea begins.
It is normal phenomenon? And Why?

Can SpS tank use UV lighting in the bottom filtering tank?

I personally do not use a UV, but I know several people that do with SPS and have no problems.

Terrible algea appears during 15-45 days in my new tank.

This is a typical situation in a cycling tank.You should look for nutrient availability instead of trying to spend more money in UV.
Don.t put any corals yet.Try to find the appropriate herbivore animal to deal with the algae you have:thumbsup:

please try to explain to us what you are doing when you are cycling your new tanks . it will help us help you as you very well may be doing something completly wrong . yes you should have an algae bloom but it shouldnt be overwelming . in your "explaining" please include what you are adding and when , what type of water are you using ,salt mix,light regimine ,and stocking . please let us have some more information so we can better understand and help your situation .

I just went through the same thing. The algae blooms are normal sequence of events. At about 25 days into my cycle everything looked great and then BAMMO! green algae (diatom) explosion. I put a micron filter and a UV unit on the tank for 48 hours and it cleared right up. (I also halved my light cycle for 3 days.)
