Can you use Krylon fusion paint on metal?

I would like to paint some metal pieces I have in the canopy to prevent rust, etc. Is it safe to use Krylon fusion that is usually used on PVC?

I don't think it'll last too long on metal. Krylon is specifically designed to bond with plastic so ....

Metal spray paint is cheap and readily available. Why not pick some up?

I wasn't sure if metal spray was safe. I can go ahead and just pick up any kind of metal spray, or does it have to be a specific trype/brand?

You can get the engine paint stuff... but that is meant for high temp places. You can get just about any kind of metal spray paint, just be sure to rough up the metal a little with some sand paper so the paint sticks better
