Can zoas hurt each other?

I know this is definitely a zoa-newbie question, but can different colonies of zoas harm one another when they come into contact? I just received a shipment of frags and decided to glue several different ones on the same rock. Bad idea? Are palythoa any different in terms of harming one another?

I have kept zoa gardens before. Different types all together and never experienced any problems

Much bigger zoos or palys might overshadow the smaller ones... resulting in other ones trying to stretch to get light... if they don't get light... they will starve and die.. they need light for food.. for their zooanxthel ( wrong spelling )

certain zoas can overgrow others and eventually choke them out.
