Cancelling Premium Membership?

Has anyone ever tried cancelling the RC Premium Membership? It is a reoccurring charge that at first was a good idea, but know I don't want to pay them. I have looked at all the options on the site and nowhere do I find a way to cancel.

You can't do it here on RC.
You have to go to the paypal website. The reoccurring payment process isn't something RC controls it's a paypal program.

You would think that legally, any site that has recurring charges, would have to also be forces to have a way of cancelling. This is something I will have to look into I guess.

Many have looked into it, including myself. Unfortunately the concern is with paypal. When you set up your account with paypal, part of the agreement with them is that they will collect the money on an annual basis. There was an option not to have the reoccurring charges but it's hard to see when (like most of us skim through the agreement) I learned the hard way with a magazine subscription (they used paypal as well). Anyway,Just like many online site, RC uses paypal, and unfortunately RC has no control over how paypal runs there site (nor do they want to). The only option they have is to choose another company, but that's not going to happen, I think it's pretty much standard operating procedures anyway, other companies like paypal do the same thing.
I don't have my RC account on a reoccurring basis, I have to manually renew it, and I will continue to do that. It's more work but at least I won't be surprised when I'm balancing my checkbook.

When you click on your name, I see: View Public Profile, find more posts, and add to contacts.

When I do the same to Sisterlimonpot, I get all that plus send a private message.

When I canceled my subscription to watertesting.com they handled the paypal deal. No reason why RC shouldn't be able to do the same thing. You should hit the ask RC forum or PM a mod or Admin type person

If you signed up using the new system, after the board upgrade, yes. With the old system, that was completely manual, no.

You have to remove the subscription from within your Paypal account. We don't control the billing, Paypal does. I've got no way to do it from here.

Because Beerguy thought I should have my privilages suspended without any warning that I was violating something. I guess I have learned my leason and will just pm people on our other sites.
