Cannot get green color in SPS??

For some reason I can't get the green to come out in any of my sps. Every other color under the rainbow is vibrant but the green. What exactly promotes the green in sps? My guess was my bulbs maybe? I switched from 20k's to 14k's.but even when I had the 20k's still no green. I want green because my corals such as; red planet, forest fire, orchid stylo and tricolor to name a few, look boring with out the green. My green slimer is a gold color even...

Parameters:
DKH - 8.1
Calcium - 430
Mag- 1400
NO3 - 0
PO4 - .03 -.07
Sg - 1.025

I dose 2 part and magnesium. Also, I add kalkwasser via ATO and twice a week I dose red sea's coral colors. I feed very heavy once per week as well.

Not sure about the others, but I do know that lowering lighting brings out more green in the red planet.

I'm pretty sure Iron is also suppose to help with yellows and greens.

Bring your potassium levels up to 400 - 410 ppm. Also, you can try dosing iron 1 drop per 25 gallons, over dosing will cause nuisance algae to form.

With elevated phosphates, the green slimer should be money green.

am in the exact same boat as you are, lately i've been changed to get my green up.... I do dose potassium twice a week. I will have be following this tread....

I don't know personally of any fact based evidence of this but just from my own personal experience , I have a moderately stocked mixed reef with all types of colors...orange, blue, purple, red, pink, yellow, green and all of my corals seemed to have great color except the green in my green and yellow zoas. I switched one of my aquablue + bulbs for an aquapink bulb and on the same day I bought a green acropora that was so badly bleached it didn't have a stitch of green on it. One month later the green on the zoas is so bright its almost neon and the acro has made a tremendous recovery and is nearly completely green. here's the before

. I'm not saying adding the pink bulb is what did it but I made no other changes to my reef other than that and the zoas were in there for about four months and the areas that were supposed to be green were brownish purple all the way up until I added the pink....just my two cents :-) good luck

Most reefers complain their suppose to be blue sps is green. 1st time I think I saw someone complaining about a green sps

My sps is going from blue to green :( I have lots of greens what does that indicate?

Need more information regarding your system. Please complete the following:

1. Nitrate, Phosphate, and Potassium values (e.g., 0 ppm, 5ppm, etc)?
2. Alk, Calcium, and Magnesium values?
3. Salinity and how measured? Swing arm or Refractometer
4. Type of light (color temp and age)? LED, MH, T5, or other.
5. What corals are negatively affected?
6. How old is the setup?
7. Dosing any carbon source, such as Vodka, vinegar, sugar, or other?
8. Any significant change or event occurred in the past 30 days?

Apologize for the number of questions, but its important for myself and others to understand your situation before an informed response can be delivered.
