Can't Decide - Is This AEFW?

It doesn't look typical of them. Kind of looks like spotty zooxanthellae rather than AEFW. I tried blowing it off, but I ended up blasting away zooxanthellae and these things persisted. All other corals in the tank are doing okay.

What do you think?

It does not look like aefw. Just looks like the acros tissue. :)

Awesome. That is what I'm leaning towards. It just could be bleached.

tough to say, I'd say dip it but it looks like the delicate type. How big is the piece?

Oh I don't think it's a delicate species. It is only a 1" frag and I moved it to quarantine. I dipped it in Revive yesterday and those little spots persisted. It's not doing any worse since the dip. I also have TMPCC available, but in the past I killed corals with TMPCC, so I'm hesitant to use it. You recommend any other dips?

Sounds good. I can't find anything that would resemble a bite mark. I'll put it in a lower light level and see if it recovers some tissue.

Unfortunately I am going to say it kind of looks like AEFW to me. If you look at a couple of the patches of what appear to be holes of flesh missing they kind of follow a trail which is very typical of flat worms. Regarding the polyps being open they usually will stay open unless the flat worm is very close to the coralite... But I hope I am wrong.

I see your point about the trails. Hmm. Those spot, whatever they are, aren't normal. I'll leave it in quarantine or maybe just throw it away.
