I can't wait until i am established in a home so i can actually start a good reef tank...I had a 40g when i was in hs and living w/ my parents...then i went to college and got a 12g...i just can't wait until i graduate and have a career and house so i can setup like a 180g reef....dang, it's so far away

Enjoy your youth! I remember those days having a 55 gal tank years ago with an undergravel filter. Those were the early years of hobbyist keeping saltwater tanks, oh how it has changed. Use these times to learn and grow in the hobby until you can get the larger tank you dream about.

as long as you keep looking forward, it will happen so fast that you barely know what happened.

then you'll reminisce about the simpler times again when there was no entire weekend spent cleaning out garage.....

I think that everyone here without a in-wall tank built for their house wants one. I currently have a 50 gallon tank and can't wait for a sizable upgrade. :D

longchamp- my major right now is biology...i'm thinking about going to medical school, but i'm only a freshman in college, it could change....i'm still looking for a profession

enjoy the ride. the confines of adulthood come at a hefty price.

Hairloss, joint pain, mortgage, student loans, car payments.......And I kinda feel like a complainer cause I don't even have kids yet......OMG.......I gotta go lay down......

i work with med students. It's tough, but well worth it once you have completed your schooling, which never ends. 4 years of undgraduate work, 4 years of med school, 3-4 years of residency and then 2-3 more years of fellowship if you choose to specialize in a specific area.

good luck with your future endeavors.

Run away from adulthood I don't ever want to hear something like that said again stay young don't grow up. Haha you think once you get a house you can get a big tank thats just laughable wait till the girl comes along and hates the hobby you will be doing good to have a 3gal pico tank. Was said before but bills bills bills and more bills oh and kids yeah I have to that I love dearly but man they can be a handful. So man just stay young and enjoy it while you can. Oh and kill as many brain cells as you can in college.

Hhhhmmm...My daughter just graduatied from college with her bat's and now going back for her Masters.....I love to tease her. I tell her.............................College students are so precious...THEY still think things are going to work out for them...hehehe

I don't want an in wall tank. I want a 200 gallon reef/coffee table!

Edit: By the way, I'm 51 and I finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up: retired.
