You could give it a shot, but be sure there's a FedEx counter at the terminal and have all the necessary packing material ready, like popcorn and heat packs. Or, you could try to be a smart-a$$ and try the carrier's counter-to-counter freight on the same plane, and then send a "middle finger" letter to the airline CEO. It's expensive, but not as much as losing a box full of acros.
