Well today was the first and probably last time i will ever stop in that place.. i was looking to buy a fish b/c my tank needs some more! anyways he only had like 5 live ones and the 2 fish that were dead have been for what looks to be a few days at the least! one coral beauty was decaying and there was a lion fish with no fins left b/c its been dead so long, don't they look at their tanks?! i was going to buy a mandrain just to get it out of there but then i thought if i buy it its just gonna help support them in killing more fish! sorry if this offends anyone but that place should pay alot more attention to their stock!

I believe he's the same owner of the old Bottom basement pets.... the same problem that he had too. was actually waiting for them to open last week and got side tracked and never made it there.... kinda glad now

The previous name was Bargain Basement Pet Shop. 4-5 years ago they were pretty good. They always had things and the livestock was nice. But as time went by they let everything go to crap.

I just got a flyer from them. They are now called Captian Larrys Aquarium & Pets. They now have Dog and cat supplies. Also a bunch of small animal food and supplies. Imagine how this will turn out. Oh yes, 1000 gallon Koi pond.

Yes it is. Bad Bad Bad.
Oh man, I can't even imagine how those animals would be neglected if he can't take care of his stock in the tanks. I'm betting puppy mills will be making some money soon. Sad

never been there before and was looking for a new place to go to that i don't have to drive a hr. and a half each way, so thats why i went..

My girlfriend and I usually stop in to local pet stores if we are in the area. It don't matter if they are bad or not. We just like looking at aquatic pets. I would never buy anything there. Just look.

Jim_Leyland- try Hutches Pet Shop. They have DT's Phyto, and oyster eggs. Hit and miss on fish and inverts but prices and quality if they have something your looking for is excellent.

i know you didn't mention hutch and quality in the same sentence! the last few times ive been there they have had like 3 fish and all the tanks in the basement were full of algae! it was about a month ago or so, maybe they have improved, the lady was kinda rude to me when i was in there also.. just left a bad imperssion on me i guess...

get siruis satelite radio, make the drive. i tried two turtles and have been going to aquatic tech for a while but the experience of shopping there is not comparable.

Wall Mart VS. Quickie Mart. JMO

They can be rude. Very rude. When they don't have any fish they let the tanks go. Then when they are about to get stuff they clean them up. Like I said before, hit and miss there. I call before I stop in. I just like to look.
Im going to SC this weekend Jim. Maybe we could work something out. PM me.

I stopped at Captain Larrys on the way home from work tonight........WOW that place is awful! The only thing I was remotely interested in was a clam which was reasonably priced at $35, but its shell was covered in HUGE aiptasia. Geez....

Stopped at the Hutch Pet Shop yesterday. The main system is broke, so they did not have anything. Funny thing is, they gave me that excuse 2 weeks before 4th of July.
