Captive-reared hepatus tangs

I remember a few years ago (maybe more than a few years ago), there were hepatus tangs available that had been collected in post-larvae state and then "grown out" for resale. They commonly appeared in LFS as tiny specimens.

I was curious (after some questions in the Reef Fishes forum) whether these captive-raised/reared specimens are still being marketed?

Funny seeing you here, Brian...!! Actually, I am going to see Kevin on monday, so I can ask him personally. he is talking for our club here in Atlanta. If he doesnt answer here first.

BrianD,
Several years ago these fish were in fact being harvested post larvae in the Solomons and shipped to Puerto Rico where Bill Addison (C-Quest) would raise them up a bit and offer them as Captive Raised Paracanthurus hepatus. As far as I know C-Quest no longer offers these fish.

Cheers!
