Right at this moment, all I can say is geez 
I spoke to soon and am still waiting on a single transfer(forgot there was a hold on it due to being unverifiable,PP's doing not mine.) After doing all the accounting, sometimes 3 times over.I realize a few problems thus far.
1. I counted Elim twice and indeed never forgot to put him on the list the first time.So now we have a floating 10lb order that, I will probably have to fill.
2. The quote I was given did NOT include tax, when I asked for the total shipped to my door, I thought it was insinuated, especially after I gave him my CA address
3. Those who have used paypal to participate have still not payed the transfer fee. Not to mention it's appearing more than 3%,for ex. those who payed me 20.00, but paypal is deducting .88, so far Im just 10$ on the total of paypal submissions to what I quoted you, which woulda been more hadnt an individual kick down a couple bucks to cover some of you.
So, needless to say Im short. My brain is fried from doing all the figuring,Im frustrated and exhausted. Now I know why the others before this group buy charged 10$. And it still doesnt even cover the headache . Sorry guys, just venting and trying to keep you updated at the same time. Im gonna take a break for now. I'll come back and try to figure something out instead of calling it quits and refunding all your money back. We'll see. Suggestions are welcome.

Alot of this may seem trivial but the stress level really compiles when trying to make EVERYONE happy. Whether they were participating in the buy or not. Ive recieved SOOO MANY emails from people trying to be included,add there own bags to the order, let alone a handfull of questions that I clearly posted on the threads for reference. Which in turn if I dont go out of my way forsaking those that have already secured there reservations, I appear to be rude, unwilling to help, an @zz, you name it. Very trying on someone who just wanted to do something nice for some of his club pals/locals

I know i owe you i think 59 cents?
If i paypal you money to cover this you still have to wait for it to clear. But, i can paypal it to you asap. not a problem. also Mothra wanted some carbon cant he meet you and give you cash for it?
Here's what i think. unless we have to do this deal right now why not wait until this friday and order? i can paypal you funds now and they should clear and others can paypal you also what they owe and Mothra can get in. i can even send some for 5 more pounds to help cover the floating 10lbs
Let me know! I'm willing to do what i need to help take some stress off!

Hi Justin, been there. In my case I also had problems with the vendor (you didn't know we were wholesale only? No sorry that was the price per bag for an entire pallet!). Oh well, just assume that you will have problems and expect them. I know that even the best intentioned members can make problems for you. In any case I would be glad to kick in a couple of more dollars to help defray your cost. I am getting really good GAC for a great price.

Ya, I'll definately be waiting now, for everything to go through. If you want to let Mothra know we have a slot open for him that'd be great.

I spoke to the sales rep for almost an hour today on and off. Kept saying he'd call me back, then hours pass, so I'd call. Real neat guy to talk to and is trying to give me the best deal he can, there shipping is a little funky on how they quote for it, apparently goes in incraments of 3 to get good deals, which me and another member found out the 4 th bag is a very poor choice and doubles the third bag orders shipping charge. Dont understand nor am I going to try. I last spoke to him at 2pm, but will probably need to follow up with him later, as he hasnt called me back again. But he did assure me that this carbon is what I've been telling you guys it is. Being acid rinsed, it doesnt have very little, it has NO dust/residual and is very clean, unlike anything Ive used in the past, thats for sure!. The smaller size granules also make it much more efficient than the stuff we see on the shelf, smaller granules = more suface area= more efficient carbon. He also went down to the chem guys to have it tested for me and reported back with a pH of 6.5-7.0. Really above and beyond in my opinoin and did it for me after we started talking reefs and aquatica, thought that was cool. The lesser or = to , on the pH is due to the acid rinsing. This will only be a possible concern if dealing with very large systems, and nothing a dash of buff, or kalk drip cant fix.
When I get a chance, and clean up my Pm box a lil I'll try to pm everyone that paypald the amount owed. Some already have, but those that havent it would be greatly appreciated if you could kick down a dollar or two to me help cover the tax. So far Im down 21$ for tax and paypal fees, and that's not even including my own carbon purchase! Maybe I just need a drink...

Steve, that covers ALOT of people and yourself. Hopefully that will encourage the rest who paypald to just give a buck at least, everybody, so I can give some of Steve's money back!

I feel for you! I have done my shares of group buys, and they can be a PIA trying to deal with everyone and trying to keep track of who ordered what. My first group buy took a couple months before people picked things up from me (and paid me). I swore that I would never promise to "hold" things for people - except for the few members that I have gotten to know and trust. Otherwise - my group buy on commodity items will be on a first come first serve basis. No meeting a fish stores, no stopping by my house, no paypal - just pay cash at the meeting on a first come first serve basis.
BTW - I have never been opposed to the person coordinating the group buy to make a little extra money. As a matter of fact, I would prefer the person make a little money instead of lose money. Also the little cash can buy a nice bottle of aspirin for the headaches. My only request is that the person puts a full disclaimer on how much money he/she is making.
