Caring for a Blue Carpet???

Can anyone give me suggestions for caring for a blue carpet I just purchased? I will be placing it a 55 gallon which is designated solely to rose anemones. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as he was quite expensive and I would hate to lose him.

Here is an old pic of the tank it will be in. It looks a bit different now.

You're putting him in the same tank as RBTAs?

That's going to end very poorly, as the two generally don't get along well. They will end up having some serious chemical warfare going on, which will probably result in dead creatures, especially with that many RBTAs, and in a tank of that size.

In the future, do the research to be sure that you have adequate facilities to care for a creature before purchasing it, please.

Really??? I didn't think anemones could really bother each other. All of the roses are up high in the rocks. I was thinking it would probably anchor down in the sand.

Anemones extrude a lot of slime in their everyday lives. This slime can contain harmful substances that affects other life in the tank.
The everyday hobbiest has no way of knowing if one anemone is harming another by chemical means, but it certainly is possible.
Some people are successful mixing anemone species, some are not. Most of those who are successful run carbon just in case.

I was thinking about putting it with the roses but now I may throw it in my 180 sps tank. I constantly run carbon as well so hopefully that will take care of any poisonous chemicals.

Theres not a whole lot of room but I can easily make some. Do carpets like a fair bit of flow?

yes oncee they get their foot settled they like lots of flow the bta tank looks like there isnt any room what size is it
Carpets get big

Its a 55. I think your right. There probably isn't enough room for how much they grow. I'll have to get pictures of it when I get home.
