Carpet Anemone and Star

I was wondering if a Carpet Anemone (Haddoni) will eat a Sea Star, Specifically a Blue Linckia.

This morning I saw my Linckia in the clutches of the Carpet Anemone. I immediately took out the Linckia out of the Carpet. It seems to be doing well so far. The interesting thing is, once food is placed in the carpet, it devours it immediately. It seemed like the carpet was taking its time to eat the Linckia or maybe it was releasing it...

Strange.. I would think the anenome would just eat it. I'm kind of surprised the star got that close as well.
