Carpet Anemone Healthy?

i'm already looking to add more lights just a matter of finding the appropriate ones

i think the flow is pretty good, at least 2000 gph

I'm not so sure about this anymore. This anemone has some major fight in him. I don't feel that Hadoni's are as picky in general when it comes to light as some others are. This guy has fought his way all the way up those rocks. I have never see this before. Now he is right under the MH. He should be able to get plenty of light from this spot. If it were my anemone I would let it stay there and watch it very closely to see how he does. If he begins improving I would let him stay. This is a very odd case to me. Have you tried to feed him? At this point I believe that food is very very important. Pleast keep us posted on this guy. I am so impressed by the spunk he has.

I disagree. The carpet may be putting up a fight for survival but the biggest problem with them is once they start to decline it is very difficult to get them to recover. It may still not be getting the light where it is at and it will not tolerate it much longer if this is the case.
I took the same approach with a Haddoni carpet recently and waited to long to fix a problem that was causing it stress and lost it. It only took a couple of days after the first sign of stress for it to go beyond saving.

Maybe I should rephrase what I said before.
It is very strange for a Hadoni to clime the rocks like this. However I don't believe that being on the rocks would be a death sentance. Other than this odd behavior I don't see a problem. The anemone is inches away from the lights. At this distance this should be more than enough for a Hadoni. If the anemone will not feed because of what it has been through then there is a big problem. If the anemone will eat then there should not be a problem. This is why I asked if the anemone had been fed.
Your tank is plenty big enough and I assume it has been set up for some time now, right? The lights are fine for an anemone that is that close to them. The only thing I can find wrong with your system at this point is that you have a sand loving anemone on the rocks. This by itself should not be fatal. I believe with a good diet he should be able to recover right where he is.

Awe thanks!!!! I'm almost afraid of over feeding this carpet anemone at times. He will eat anything that gets near him. Also the Clarkii clown is very very very good at taking food back to the carpet. So essentially it eats every day. Our mix of food is a blend of shrimp, oysters, mussels, clams and scallops.

I hope he recovers there. Thanks a lot guys... I'll post more pics with changes ;)

By the way my powder brown tang just brushed up against the carpet and he now has white dots on his face and eye from it. Should I take any precautions? I would hate to lose my powder brown .... =(

Last thing I set my tank up on Dec 1, 2006. So it's still fairly new I know... but my water parameters seem good....

I would remove the tang. His vision on that one side may be impaired. If he bumps into the carpet again he may not be as lucky as the first time.

hmmm here he is after he bumped into the carpet last night at approx 8pm...

By the way, can anyone see that HUGE flat worm above the tang on the 3rd pic from the bottom? Should I worry about these, I can currently count about 9-11 of these at a time at night.
