the real questions is if my dual T5 fixture and my led will be enough. my led is a marine orbit and despite what many people say about the lights strength it allowed my BTA's to thrive all by itself for almost 2 years. i recently got the T5 fixture maybe 2 months ago. im still on the fence if i can keep a carpet with these lights
It's a green (guess) gig completely bleached so it'll take some food and very good light to bring her back. What type of LED t5? These guys need very strong lighting.

The leds like i explained are marine orbit. they are low wattage which is why most people say they cant keep anemones alive but like i said my BTA's flourished for almost 2 years under them.
the T5s are a corallife brand T5 fixture with 1 10k bulb and 1 actinic bulb.
also can someone explain the how to tell which is a gig, which is a haddoni, and which is a mertensi?
It's a gigantea and if they have it for a couple of weeks it may not need treatment. Though it is severely bleached and there is no guarantee that it will color up again.
As light for a gig I would recommend either a Kessil A360NE or comparable LED. My gigs like the Kessils.
I know a sick gig when I see one. Classic "puffy pancake" appearance. Fact that it had been in LFS for a few weeks is not dispositive. You will need to treat for sure.
