Carpet Anemone Lighting

I am planning on purchasing an anemone for my clowns and I have my heart set on a neon green haddoni carpet anemone. I have been researching it for about a month and have a pretty good understanding of the care needed to keep it alive the only thing I am 2nd guessing myself on is the lighting. I have a 24" current outer orbit with 4 24w t5ho 420nm and 150w metal halide. My tank is a 24x24x24 cub. I know this anemone likes to place itself between sand and rock so it will be at the bottom. Is my lighting sufficient for this anemone to thrive in my tank?

With that deep of a tank, I personally would prefer a 250 watt MH. Back when I had my 33 "cube" (( want to say it was 20" deep )) I used a 250 watt MH (( 20,000K bulb )) my S. haddoni did great in there.

If you use a 10,000K bulb, you might be able to do it, but I would pass on using a 20,000K one.

I've ready they like 10,000k light. Do you think 20,000K will harm him? I'm thinking about adjusting my LED blue and royal lights higher to give a more blue look. The whites LEDs are still there so I don't think its the same as changing out a bulb though.

Mine have always been under 20,000K bulbs, so I don't think a 20,000K alone would harm it. It is just that a 20,000K bulb is going to have less PAR then a 10,000K one (( most of the time )), so that would be an issue for the OP's tank and lights.

I am currently running a 10k bulb and keeping all 4 t5ho on all day with the MH to keep the blueish color I like. The 250w is out of the question as I just recently purchased this light system and I do not believe there is a way to upgrade the wattage. My depth is technically 19" as I have a DSB that's between 5-6" deep but the light stands about 4" off the top of the water. So I guess what I'm getting at is that a haddoni is out of the question. Any other suggestions on a colorful anemone for a pair of false percs?

Blast the thing with as much light as you can. They live in very shallow water in the wild and receive full sunlight all day. 10,000K light would be best.

I have a green carpet on the bottom of a 30" deep tank under 400w 20k and it stays half in the shade most of the time. Almost 2 years now.

have you tried a 10k? i bet it would come out if you put a 10k over it. i have one 10k bulb over mine i removed it and installed actinic and it hid under the rock too. I thought it was weird that it hid with less par, but i just think the spectrum was just off. when day bulb is off and actinics on it leans under the rocks
