carpet anemones and starfish

I have a gigantea that ate my large bristle starfish (8-9"), and then I saw my blue linkia hanging out of its mouth, so I tried to save it...it spit it out, but days later the linkia started falling apart and had to go. (blue linkia of 3 years...tis a sad day). So my question, I know carpets are aggressive, but has anyone else had problems with them eating starfish?

I have never lost a starfish to a carpet. Did lose a sally lightfoot crab though.

anything that is meaty will be lose to a healthy carpet. Unfortunately, mine doesn't like to eat bristle worms, I have tons
