carpet anenome- help me!!?

Does not look good. Unless that pic was taken right after the anemone was put in the tank, a gaping mouth like that is a sign of real trouble. Putting the anemone in a higher flow area might help, but the prognosis is not good.
Sorry

Sorry

the pic was take at noon today, and i put him in there at 10 lastnight. so he's only had about 5 hrs of light, but i dont like the look of it. he wouldnt even eat the krill i was feeding it.

keep an eye on him. An open mouth isn't the end of him. but if it continues to open....then its an even worse sign. My carpets mouth, never closes, but he eats like a monster, 2-3 large silversides a week. Just keep an eye on him, and try and feed him in a day or 2.

good news, i came home and man, it did not look good, his mouth was about 2 inches wide, so i gently nudged him to the top of a rock and he sat there and attached to the rock, and closed his mouth! :) is this a better sign? when should i feed him?

Not to say you are out of the woods, but mine looked like that for about 1/2 the time I had it for the first few weeks. I've had mine about 3 months now and it seems to be doing fine. It eats large silverside every 2-3 days and looks solid.

I'd give it a day to get at least a bit used to the new spot and try and feed it tomorrow. If it doesn't eat, try again every other day until you get it to eat. Also, mix up what you are feeding it, try silversides, krill, shrimp, squid, etc. Good luck!
