got one coming tomorow whats the best way to setle one in lights etc how long in the aquarium with lights out etc

What kind of carpet are we talking about since the advice that would be given differs? How big is your tank? How long has it been set-up? What type of lighting? Sand or bare bottom? Amn, Nitrite, Nitrate, Salinity? Need to know a little more about the setup and what kind of carpet before anyone can really chime in.

If you are asking about how to acclimate it to your lights -- hard to tell....

Without knowing what you have, I would still suggest using 3 layers of window screening, and remove a layer every 5-7 days. During this time leave the lights at their normal height and normal photo-period.
