I was lucky to get a small hatch (15)of percs from a breeder . They are about 1/2" . Three are now hosting my carpet and the others are just doing there clown thing. I willl be adding another anemone or two along with some softies (frogspawn, torch) and hopefully all will host something .
Can someone tell me what type of carpet it is and if it looks healthy . Its opening is shut tight and it responds to food fast and then shuts again .,thanks.

I want to keep the young close together so I have them for now in a 40 breeder . I know its small for both the clowns and carpet ! There is a 40 sump/fuge, skimmer, phos reactot, carbon reactor and weekly water changes . I plan on going with a 4 or 5 foot dd tank when need be . I dont want to come off aragant(?) but it is not a cash issue I just dont think its needed right now .
I removed everyone else from my system and only have a 1" gobie and mandarin in there . The mandarin eats mysis from my hand and has been with me for 2 years . Between eating the mysis and hunting he has a nice belly on him.
Since getting these clowns I have spent more time watching my tank then I ever did . My gobie is now the big fish and actually comes out and swims around . I just hope he doesnt find the carpet . I was able to see the parents and they are a beautiful pair of true percs .

that is a very nice carpet i love it so badly i want one for myself, but i know there are never 2 of the same :(

the one thing wierd is that it burry itself in the sand, which is the first time i have seen for a gigs. whatever, it's looking happy!

Hey qwikcustoms, Just a slight question for you, a little side track, but that's an awesome tank size, but the question is, how do you keep your sand so white and clean? Mine turns brownish a couple of days forcing me to siphon it up and to wash it before placing it back in. Is there a secret or a hint? :D Thanks a lot :D cheers

Ahhh the clean sand trick . Actually everything in the tank is about 2 years old or older except the sand . I just put this tank together and most of the sand is new . I moved the rock, water and some live sand ,same fuge/sump and added new live sand (bagged)to the tank .I do have a sandsifting starfish, nas. snails , serpant star ,hermits, turbo's ,you get the idea ,to try to keep it clean but sooner or later they all get a bit darker .
