Carpet Emergency!!!

I saw thi guy at a local school in the office tank. I think it might be a gigantea, not sure though. It was bought as a green carpet several months ago.

I think they will let me take it to try and save it. Do you think it can be saved? Is it a Gigantea? I want to do this quick if it's worth a shot. Some advice/opinions please.

The one in the first two pics looks more like an elephant ear mushroom than an anemone.
