Carpet feed

How often is everyone feeding their large carpet anemones?

I have three that are roughly 18 inches in diameter fully extended. Nice and healthy. I feed them once a week various whole foods, mainly fish. I ask because I would like to reduce as much feeding to the system as possible. Say, cut it back to every other week?

They actually don't need to be fed much at all due to their zooxanthellae. Food will only make them grow faster. I wouldn't think that carpets are any different from BTA's or any of the other hosting anemones.

I feed my carpet once every two weeks like your asking to switch. Ill be honest I'm new to the hobby but I know my carpet anemone loves to be fed. almost yanks the tongs out of my hand. Ive heard also they don't need to be fed but I must say Ive seen much growth with feeding my carpet anemone.

Thank you for the responses. I don't necessarily need them to grow since they are at a size that I prefer. I have rose BTAs that are also quite large in the same system. I don't feed them because they are becoming giant pink aiptasia. If they are doing alright with reduced feeds, I guess I can reduce the carpets as well.
