carpet help

I have/had a thread going called 'white carpet' and ended up buying a green carpet. Still have not totally figured out what type, haddoni or gig. Some say haddoni some say gig, but it does have white spots towards the top of the column so curently l guess gig. It also liked to attach to rocks.
Shortly, about a month, after placing the nem in the tank l had to move the tank due to a leak. Originally it was under 15 k metal halides, currently it is under t5 till l get my canopy built. I had originally a 4 bulb fixture but have since added another two bulb fixture. This is over a 120 gallon that is 26 inches tall. I added the extra two bulb fixture as the nem started to wander after a month or so in the new spot, currently it has crawled up the back glass almost to the overflow. What can l do to help it out and get back down? It is still full of color and has a tight mouth as well.

Little bit more info.

Tank was set up for about a year and a half before the move. Moved all rock and basically did a 90 gallon water change. Tested last night and it is as follows. Cal 420, mag 1350, alk 6, trates less then 5, PO4 less then 1.

It used to sit in the little cove on the bottom left.

I had thought of that and had started dosing to bring it back up. What about lighting? Enough or should l hurry up my cannopy?

Anybody besides catchoftheday want to chime in. It has started up the overflow by the time I got home from work. I am thinking about going in and replanting in the sand tonight.

I have never found moving an anemone to be a good idea. It may just move right back to where it was at. Also, you may accidentally rip it in the process. If it likes it there, leave it be. It may be moving higher up because it wants more light. I would look at getting your canopy built sooner.

Also, if this is a gig, it won't like being put in the sand as they like being on rocks.

I dont like them moving either. So far it hasnt sung anything, but l am gambling right now. Light is my thought, but possibly alk l dont know. I hate to move it cause l dont want to tear it, but it cant be good right now.

If it was mine, I would start out with covering powerheads and overflows. Get the alk up - drip your additions slowly. If it stays inflated all the time, I wouldn't touch it or move it. You may be able to get it to move by changing the flow up, or you may notice it likes more flow too. Just what I would do to start out with. How long have you had it, and how often/what have you fed it?

It does stay inflated and with a tight mouth, that is why I question going in after it. I am adding alk slowly to bring it back up and starting on the canopy too. Thanks

Make sure your pH doesn't swing more than .2 between day and night. If it does try dripping reef buffer at night to level it off to 8.3.

Check it at about 4pm. Then again at about 6am and see how much it has dropped. They don't like big daily pH swings !!

Checked this morning and it is stable, may have gone down slightly but it seems to be the same. What is a good test kit for ph? Maybe l could varify it.

Usually if a anemone moves up or down in the reef it has to do with lighting. Up to get more down to get less.
