Thought it was S. Gigantea, but after settling in and coloring up more I don't think it is correct...

Any thoughts? Percs are normally hosted by a blue gig, and after finding this nem dove right in aswell....

The spots on the column do not continue all the way down to the foot.

Also this nem has/does contact my blue gig and doesn't seem to have an affect on either....

Ya I sorta concur, I wasn't going to post what I thought it was until I got a second opinion...

Shoot :(

Sorry for the hijack, but didn't want to start a new thread-

So, if I'm understanding correctly: If trying to distinguish a small say helianthus to a small gigantea, I'm looking for spots under the disc?

The spots under the disk of a gigantea will be blue or purple, if they have them, some don't. The spots on the underside of the helianthus are brownish and tend to be more abundant and form streaks.

Here is another pic of a S. Helianthus that was mistakenly sent to me. Very obvious brownish green spots.
