Hi guys,

I am thinking about buying an anemone. This is supposed to be a Haddoni but I feel it looks more like a Gigantea. What dou guys think?

My immediate reaction is that it's not either a haddoni or a gigantea. The tentacles are too long for a haddoni, especially in its stressed state. I think it may be another species altogether but I can't pinpoint it.

Either way, I wouldn't buy this anemone, at least not based on this photo alone.

That was my thought, the length of the tentacles proves its not a haddoni, but unsure of what it is then.

Try to get a pic under some white light if possible. Looks like a sick gig to me but tough to tell with the bad pic.

I'd at least wait a few days. If they still have it and it's not obviously dying it might be a good buy.

I just looked at it closely and it does look like a gig. But if you look near the mouth you can see dead zoox. If it's not treated ASAP it'll die.
