carpet not eating

had this carpet for about a week. i've tried feeding it fish meat and small pieces of squid, but it hasn't eaten anything. starts sucking it in then spits it out. is it healthy? is this normal?

If youv had it just a week then it is more than likely still acclimateing to your system.i would not worry at this point.
