I have a pair of Gold Strip Maroon Clowns and that being said I have tried 3 BTA's for them. For whatever reason my tnak is not the place for a BTA...they always crawl under a rock out of the light and die. I assume it's either from my flow or my lighting is to intense. I have 3x250 watt halides and tons of flow. Water params aren't the issue as I have lots of SPS and some LPS all doing great.
Back to the topic of the thread, has anyone seen GSM clowns host in a carpet??? I really want a blue or purple carpet but would like my clowns to host in it. My tank is 280 gallons and without removing all the rock there is no way to get them out and swap for different species. Plus I have had my female for 5 years and I am attached to her and her boy whom I have had for 2 years. They keep mating but none of the babies survive cuz all my other fish eat them.
I am also considering a Purple LTA cuz I know they will probably host in it but I really want a carpet.
