Carpet toast?

I got a Carpet anemone on Friday. The LFS is about an hour away and a buddy was going up. I asked him to pick a nice one out. Well the LFS did not have any out front but had just gotten some in. He grabbed one (yea, yea, yea... don't let your friends buy for you).

I am thinking it has some serious issues. I think it has a whole in its foot. I saw it constricting and a stream of water coming out of the bottom spraying the sand. It has also not attached yet.

It is also looking a little bleached.

Any chance for this guy?

I think there is supposed to be a hole in the center of the foot.. I'm not 100% on that though. Its normal for it not to be attached yet. You could try this trick I've done with mine. I picked out a nice spot and dug a hole between the rocks and the sand and tucked its foot in. Then fill the sand back in around it. Mine attached to the glass on the bottom right away and stayed there for almost a year before it decided to go on a walkabout. How about some pics?

There isn't suppose to be any hole in the foot -- that holds true for any anemone.

Is there any way to get a picture of the hole? Yours looks pretty good actually. (( and it is a Haddoni )). How much flow do you have in the tank? I have found that they aren't too found of lots of flow, especially when they are first settling in. So if you have lots of flow, might want to turn some of the powerheads off for a couple of days.

I do have a bit of flow going on. I can crank it down for a few days, Thanks for the recommendation.

If I can get a foot shot in the morning I will get it up.

Well it did not make it. Came home today and its mouth was huge and stuff that should be on the inside was on the outside. Ruined my day.
