?? i am thinking about ordering from live aquaria because they state that they have them in stock and i havent seen one of these beauties ever in my LFS. what do you guys think?

Only get one if you can support the low temp it needs. They will eventually die if the temp is a normal reef (78 - 82)

ok, the lowest i could possibly keep my reef is 77. so any other suggestions?

im looking for an exotic fish with loads of personality.

sorry, should have said...i cant spends $250!!
love the fish...but too expensive!

do you think a copperbad butterfly would fit in? or is that pushing the bio-load? i believe there the only reef safe butterfly out there!

:( thats sad. i thought they liked mysid shrimp?

hmm any other exotic fish out there that would fit in?

The Copperband Butterflyfish, also known as the Beaked Butterflyfish, Beaked Coralfish, or Orange Stripe Butterfly, has a long, narrow nose and mouth used for hunting into crevices and holes for food. The Copperband Butterflyfish has yellow-orange vertical bands with a black edging. It has a false eyespot on the rear of the dorsal fin. This is a difficult fish to mistake for any other.
It is best housed in very large reefs, or in peaceful community tanks. It should be kept singly, not with conspecifics or similar butterflyfish, and should not be kept with any stress-inducing fish. Caution should be exercised if housing these fish in a reef aquarium. They may pick on invertebrates, especially anemones and feather dusters. They are an excellent fish when used to control aiptasia, or glass anemones, in the reef aquarium.

The Copperband Butterflyfish is a difficult fish to feed; it is a shy and deliberate feeder that may need a variety of foods offered to it in order to start feeding.

thanks! i better not take the chance.

need to start thinking...would like something colorful...maybe a royal gramma and another small fish?

Mandarins, if you have enough pods: they're the hummingbirds of the reef...and are very visible. In a 55 it's pushing it, I know (I'm a 52) but supplement and am trying to rig a refugium. They're my favorite fish, and they come in several colors.

The sailfin---is it blenny or goby---is quite showy.

thanks guys, i tihnk im going to go with a royal gramma and another small fish.

mandarin for me is out fo the question...as i dont think there is enough pods.
