Hi everyone i am in need for some advice! I got my CC around a month ago and the heads seem to be receding. The tissiue is pulling away from the skeleton and i don't know what i am doing wrong. All params are normal ammonia/nitrates/nitrites all at 0. I also have a 2- 24 watt t-5 fixture. PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG :mad2: . I'll try and get a picture soon.

how are your other corals doing?

calcium?
flow?
Tank size?
temp?
alkalinity?
magnesium?

Any other corals touching/close to it?

I see five possibilities:
1 - really high water flow;
2 - stinging neigbours;
3 - water from heater is blowing directly on it;
4 - nibbling fish;
5 - it's in high-traffic area for the hermits, snails or fish - decline from mechanical irritation.

The lack of light (if the tank is deep and calaustrea is at the bottom) ot food are the lesser possibilities, same for toxins in the tank - other organisms had to react on them too.

If they are not getting the proper lighting, you may have to spot feed them. I noticed this when I had my trumpet corals. The feeder tentacles would come out and I would give them a few pieces of mysis shrimp. I ended up trading it because I really didn't want to have to spot feed due to my low lighting where it was placed.
