Caulerpa Gone Sexual Help

My zoa's have been looking horrible for quite some time and I think I figured it out! I have a macro algae reactor with Chaeto but it seems some caulerpa got in and grew like crazy. I have removed it but would it going "sexual", have caused my zoas to stay closed?
Any advice is appreciated.

It easily could have, short of any other known change or chemical warfare between inhabitants. If you have a skimmer and/or other filtration, just waiting it out would be my path; zoas are pretty tough but always seemed to take forever to open again if they were disturbed.

Thanks for the reply. I have been running carbon in my HOT Magnum since this AM and think it's looking better. Lights just came on, so I should have a better indication in a few hours.
