Caulerpa Tail

Okay -- I grow a bunch of microalgae and just put it in the tank for the fish. My rabbit is a big pig. Well, I put some pretty long pieces of caulerpa and my rabbit just inhales it. Well, he was swimming around today with a partially digested piece of caulerpa -- is this stuff too rugged for them to digest?
