Started working after I installed Java, Thanks.
Your thread is on the top of my list on RC.
Looking forward for the live stock.

Been a few days now...

While I wait for salt to arrive (which should be next week) I've been working on an enclosure for the webcam and trying to get a plumber to hook me up for for the auto top-off. I also just received the PH controller for the calcium reactor today so I can start setting that up though I won't be using that until the tank has cycled.

Also... if there is anything you would like me to photograph just let me know ;)

Hey, *shakin yer hand* awesome build my friend, been watchin this since the start..jealousy isnt a strong enough word..lmao..Lookin good..keep up the great work boys!!!!!!!!!

Arnar

Is the web cam going to be inside the tank under water?

That will be sweet!!!!!

How is th e fish list coming?

Are you going to order a bunch of corals at ounce or just get a few at a time?

I think I am as anxious waiting for the salt to arrive as you are LOL!!!

Hi, i like your 2000 gallons fish tank, looks like a big not so deep pool. Speaking of looking like a pool, have you ever want to strip down with a speedo on ( european style) and go snorkle in that tank, get out of it, go to a friends house and tell him "oh i just went snorkling in my fish tank and let me tell you, my acoporas are doin fine". Because you know, that tank is HUGE !!!!!! and you dont get to really say that often.

I was working on lights last night and took a few pics. I hope to finish these today and hang them up.

5 sets of three. Blue bulbs on the ends and white in the middle. The white ones will be on a computer controlled dimmer for a hopefully nice "sunrise" effect.

15 bulbs, over 130 meters of wire and 80 connections

T5 connectors

It worked :)

Can you post more pictures of the lighting setup?

Is it on a pulley or lift system? How do you have access to the tank with all the lights and cabinets there?

Thanks in Advance.

I'll take some pictures of the light setup soon.

I don't think because a thread has not been replied to for 3 days it needs a bump. When Arnar has an update I'm sure he will post it. speaking for the probable 30,000 people subscribed to this thread, "bump" is not really worthy of my time. :(

Time for a little update...

Today I removed all the water from the tank since it was forming fresh water algae and I don't want to cycle it for fresh water :) I also think it's good to replace the water before I add salt. I can also do some final touches in the tank like placing the powerheads without getting wet by standing in the tank while its full.

Finally it's salt time. I will most likely add the salt on monday and thereby starting the cycle.

I have also been seeding the small quarantine tank with livesand and rocks from my tank at home. I added 50kilos of sand to it prior so I could have plenty of livesand to seed the big tank when the water has been salted. You can see the tank on the webcam

I've been really busy at work so I have not had any good time to take any new pictures but I will take some next week.

Here are a few pics from my tank at home untill I take some more of the big tank :D

Things are coming together now. They have finished the flooring in the main room but I am still waiting for the fishroom to be finished so I can start the plumbing.

Today I opened the crate with the sump and equipment. What do you think... Is this a good picture for the Christmas card ? :D
