I was wondering if someone could explain me why Centropyge Multifasciatus is classified under Centropyge/Paracentropyge and the Chaetodon Ocotofasciatus in Chaetodon genus ?
To me they look practically the same. Even that the Centopyge Multifasciatus has the same bottom front fin then a Copperband. Why is he in the centropyge genus ? I'm not sure if my question is clear because english is not my first nor second language and I something have difficulties to state my question clearly.
The only difference I can see is their mouth. Octofasciatus clearly have a chaetodon mouth when Multifasciatus have a centropyge mouth. Is it enough to classified then ?
The centropyge Multifasciatus is my favorite fish. I'm currently waiting for my LFS to find me a pair So I try to find all information about this fish I can get
Thank you
