Depends.....

Depends.....

Really depends on how you want it to grow. I've had them under 400 watt Halides and under just PC's. The more light the thicker they tend to grow, the less light the thinner and wider they grow, that's been my experience. The more flow over the top of them the better, but med current is acceptable. The only issue I've ever had is when I kept them on the sand, they can't shed sand from their surface so I had a couple of small dead spots when sand got pushed up on the flesh, I'd suggest keeping them up on the rockwork. Hope this helped a little. Dave

Chalice, got to love these common/trendy names,LOL.I've seen 5 different genera of corals called "chalice".Echinopora,Echinophyllia,Mycedium,Oxypora, and Acanthastrea have all gone by that name.
All of which have different lighting/flow requirement. For the most part though;Echinopora,Echinophyllia, and Acanthastrea rotundaflora will do best under mod lighting/mod flow IME.Havn't kept the other 2 genera.
