Chalk Basslet fish acting strange?

I just got a chalk basslet for my 55 gallon tank and it seems to be hiding and not coming out. I fed them brine shrimp and he still didn't come out I see him and he's breathing but he doesn't move anywhere. He just turns himself every now and then. Is this normal with this fish? And any other information that I should know about this fish just leave it in the comments please.

Had mine for years. They sometimes start off very shy. Mine still spend part of the day hiding under a crevice in the sand. Most of the time they are out and about in the lower 1/3 of the tank. Give him time. The are very hardy fish.

What lost said.
They are kinda skittish and when scared they hide under things. One time I thought mine was dead, but he was just sleeping. I moved the rock and he shot right out of the tank so fast! Don't do that. When they get spooked they hold still and then just zoom - if they bash into a rock they can get hurt. He'll come out when he feels safe, don't worry unless he shows signs of distress like panting or twitching etc
