Jjmcat is that the Tyree red ?? what chalice is that?
As far as I know it is.The owner of the tank where the mother colony came from is a Tyree junkie.

Is the first pic the old Tyree Branching Alien Eye? And what is the name of the chalice in the last pic in the second post? The last one is very nice.
 
Just snagged this out of our shipment at work last night and thought I would share it here too. I'm really loving this piece. As soon as I saw it, I said, WOW, and then promptly bagged it to go home with me. Not a bad little addition for my tank...

This picture was taken during acclimation to my tank just a few hours after we pulled it out of the box, so it's a bit banged up, but I'm excited to see it after it heals up and fills in a bit. It's already looking puffier and happier today. I don't know why, but the picture looks a lot more pink-red. It's really more of a deep metallic burgundy-red color to my eyes, but the yellow eyes and rim are there for sure, and there are little splatters of blue here and there.

Can't wait to see how this piece settles in over the next few months! This colony will be going into my 310 showtank once it's broken in.

I love to see a nice happy, healthy chalice devour a whole mysis shrimp. I have an old shot of my AquaScene Golden Eye munchin on a big fat mysis :D. Gorgeous shot :).
 
Thnaks Alicia...it's not easy in my tank, with all those fish! So it's a pretty rare treat for theanorals...
