"challice" pics...lets see em!

How old is your PB colony? Just got a small 2 eye frag and wondering on growth rate. Meng is on the radar.
Thanks for info, new to chalice but want a collection of unique.

My PB is one of the original 3 pieces of the colony, so I can't take much credit for the size. It's a decent grower, though.

Peter, Very nice :D. I wondered the same thing about your Meng's ME and to much light. When I had mine it was very bright green, glowing...more in line with the Oregon ME bright.

Hmmm, maybe Meng had more than one? Anyways, I'm happy with it. BTW, check out your tyree red frag you gave me :D

Haven't checked this thread in awhile. Some stunning morphs everyone has been posting. New one I just picked up. Seems to have the 'snakeskin' pattern like the blue snakeskin.

Well, I can say that we named it pink boobies specifically for that reaction of "LOL" :D

How do you guys have names? Bazooka Joe? Cornbread mummy? Mengs? Boobies (LOL!)? Do you just make them up?

Most of the names are actual labels that vendors/renowned hobbyists have branded on their corals in an effort to up their value. A simple 'chalice coral' title isn't nearly as enticing as some "LE Holeinyourpocket watermelon". Bottom line, some people will pay for a name, and others will surely be there to capitalize.

Oldie but goodie. Originally got this one back in 2007. Blue watermelon. Lost the mother when I fragged it back in '08, and the frags went brown. I kept the couple frags back and they ended up over in a corner away from the light. I had a few other brown frags over there and actually thought I had lost all these frags a couple years ago when a few of them took a dive. The remaining frags had always stayed healthy and grew, although kind of slowly, and never colored up. Fragged one of them several months ago and put one of the small frags in a bit brighter light area. Its starting to color back up nicely. :)

I've posted pics of this one a few times, but I guess I should go on the record in this thread. The bigger this thing gets, the faster it grows.
