Can someone verify that this is a chalice? I believe it is. I picked it up for $30 at a LFS.

I even have a few frags that I pulled off of the back. It was growing back over itself.

It can be seen on the left side of this pic.

Mellisa,
Very nice chalice/echino/oxys!!

Is the 3rd picture down a frag of the Echinophyllia apsera from Reef Framers or an Orange Sherbert from JimmysReef?:

Over the past several months, I have had an opportunity to get some really nice chalice and echino frags. I wanted them to acclimate and grow in the tank before sharing their nice colors in the photos below. Photos taken with Nikon D70/90mm macro lens, 250watt 14K MH lighting.

Tropical Island chalice, a real promising piece:

Red Chalice-blue drool, check out the blue drool on the mouths:

My Tomato Chalice, a wild mixture of teal, red, green & orange colors:

A Green Snow Swirl, with white sprinkles:

An Orange Sherbert echino, orange in color with blue/green rim and background....looks almost like Melissa's previous post:

Long time eh VA? I remember buying some frags from you a LONG time ago after you posted your pics...like on the first page even.
Awesome then, awesome now!

Doc

LOL! That's what I was thinking! Heheh, can we get some pics 'now' of some of the stuff posted on the first 10 pages?
How many still have the coral? How many frags have been taken off it? LOL!

Great pics!
These corals look so great with macro shots. There is so much going on in their "skin".

I've got one of mine in VERY bright light, and another in VERY low light, and they both seem to do well. Seems like an adaptable coral.
