I don't pay for the cats. We band the males and females keep the population going. Every farm needs a few cats. The gophers were ridiculous when we first moved here.

Ok, I've got to vent. I want to just punch puppies when I post in the CTARS forum sometimes. Some of those people are cool...but some of them are just morons.
They argue with me over really dumb crap. I don't even post that much.
But one of them started talking about frag plugs and I mentioned that I believe that those "fully cured" Oceans Wonders (I think that was the name) frag plugs killed off a bunch of my SPS. I made a stupid mistake and added 20-30 plugs at once because the bag says you can load it up...something like one per gallon. Soon after my SPS starting dying.
On the thread I said all of that and then I said that I tested a bunch of stuff and narrowed it down to the plugs.
So then these two guys say that it's "highly doubtful" because he's been "using them a while" and then another one says "because they're ceramic".
I just want to Force Choke these people like I was Darth Vader.
Sure, you've been using them a while and since every tank in existence is exactly the same...what works in your tank absolutely must not be what's causing me an issue, right? In addition THEY'RE NOT EFFING CERAMIC. They were regular old plugs, doofus.
Also, I know I'm new to this club but LOOK UNDER MY AVATAR. I've been on this forum for like 11 years and have thousands of posts...while that in and of itself doesn't absolutely make me NOT a reefing moron...it's a pretty safe bet that I'm not a NOOB.
In addition, it is perfectly feasible that these stinking plugs caused an alkalinity change in my tank that began the cascade of SPS dying. That's NOT a crazy idea. It's not something NO ONE has ever heard of...you GIANT *DONKEY*.
I checked TDS of my RO (literally made TDS solution in the lab, three concentrations spanning two orders of magnitude), checked my salt (same lot I had been using), checked my refractometer (made another solution in the lab and the original calibration was fine)...checked all kinds of stuff. Everything was rockin' and rollin'. I had literally just kept 15 SPS frags for Randy for like 2 months and they'd all colored up/grew during that time and were beautiful....to the point that he said "man, I'm gonna get you to hold frags for me all the time!" Randy never says stuff like that about anyone's tank! Then I got two frag racks and was overly excited about it and loaded them up with frags that I had made using those new plugs.
Suddenly my SPS start dying off. No matter how much I water changed, they just went downhill. The part where I'm stupid is that I didn't pinpoint it down to the plugs until MUCH later...but that's not the point...the point is...
You want to argue with someone...fine. Just do it in way that's not jerkish. Make a question out of it or something. I don't know. Say "oh wow, I've never heard that and it's not my experience, that sucks it happened though. Are you sure that was it?"

Hah!! It's fine. The club is ok. I don't hate most of them. I was just having a bit of a moment.
Honestly, I just think people on here could stand to show a bit more respect. That's all. They didn't really attack me...just weren't at ALL respectful and sorta called me out a little.
If I knew them or had joked with these two people before it would be one thing...but I don't have a clue who they are.
It's not all THAT bad though.
That club has some neat events and decent discounts at a LOT of stores. So I think it's worth it.
