very nice. some suggestions:
1.add a background-it will give your tank a cleaner look.

2.add more rock-your obviously very tallented at aquascaping

3. try and keep rock off all the walls but the back-easier to clean

4.move the powerhead off the front pane-its not needed there and distracts from the oveall beauty of the tank.

corals/fish look happy and healthy. Nice set-up. :)

thank you...ahh yes I am gonna get a back round.... Im not sure if I should go with Blue or Black.... I know blue will reflect light bettter? right?

the power head in the front is what sends water up to my refugium. Im trying to figure out were to put it but my water come in from the back left corner and I dont want the Pump to be sucking up water from the refug as soon as it enters the tank.

I dont mind it there, the MJ600 hides the rio 100 which is a little bit more of an eye sore since there so damn big.

Yes I do want to get more rock for the other side, I was thinking of making a bridge over the middle but my wife didnt think she would like it.

we'll see

AS always thank you

I agree - its looks great now ! I like the blue background myself....it seems to add a little more color to the tank and seems to make things stand out...IMO the black makes it a little "bland" looking. lol

I also like the island aquascaping....makes it look like a real reef rather than a pile of rocks. :) Good job !

I think it looks waaay better!:) I wouldnt get anymore rock at all, I think its perfect. Sounds like youll be attaching coral on em anyway, background paper, would make it look nice, creates a whole different tank sometimes. I have blue on mine, but now wish I did use black. Im sure itd be the other way around if I started black as well; the whole grass is green on the otherside of the fence thing. Anyway, keep up the good work:)

I think the most important tip anyone could give though is be wary of your scooter blenny. Those things can wear down your pod population before you know it, ESPECIALLY in a new tank such as yours. The problem with that you may be asking is once the pods are gone, they usually starve in captivity and die. You may want to try and consider some frozen foods like cyclopeeze, I think mysis are too big for there mouths? Typically they should only be introduced to well established tanks, and good sized ones at that. Hopefully you can get yours to eat the food you give to your fish. Another way to possibly buy some time is to promote your pod population, dose small amounts of phyto annually, and keep lil rubble piles for them to proliferate.

Good luck:)

Yeah i have the cyclopeeze I use it twice a week along with mysis and I also have plankton frozen.

My refug, Is bursting with pods Im thinking, I looked on the glass and I see little critters crawling around. I got a bottle of tigger-pods from reef nutrion and put it in there the big one's are gone but now there are little white things "kinds look like white baby shrimp curled up" on my glass in my refugium and a couple on my tank. I have phyto-feast live also I put in.

my refugium has some small peices of LR in it and the cheato also.

He pecks at the rock on a constant basis, and he doesnt seem to be getting thinner where his stomach is. I keep a close eye on him.

And thank you, I do like how it is, im debation on if i should put a couple small peices of rock but I dont think im going too. the big flat rock I may use as a GSP rock so it can grow and I can frag it off to people....

well see....

thanks a bunch.

also remember most corals come attached to rocks so when you fill the tank up with corals more rocks will be added

Oh, I think when you start finding out exactly what you want in your tank coral wise, you will change it again and again.

My Chevron Tang died for some reason this weekend and tore mine apart to find him, rearranged mine also.

If you want to get GSP frags, I found the easiest way was to let it grow on the glass. That way, when you want to frag it, all you do is use a razor blade and quickly and easily lift off "flaps" for people. If its on a rock, chances are you'll have to chip the rock up a bit or tear the coral trying to get a piece off.
