Changing RO membrane

When I change my RO membrane do I need to do anything special, like flush it, or do I just swap out the old one?

Yes flush it. The first few gallons just toss them.

If the membrane is shipped to you wet, the flush time will be significantly more than what's mentioned above. Follow the instructions on the membrane packaging.

Also - if the gpd capacity of the membrane is different than your old membrane, also change the flow restrictor.
