My friend is setting up a 20 gallon Nano and she needs some live rock. Anyone know which LFS in OC has the best pricing on LR so I dont have to go around price checking?

if you're looking for a store i'd say oceanproaquatics. they have lr for sale on ebay too and you can go pick up at their store in chino. then even let you pick your own pieces.

By the time they drove to Chino and picked up the rock for a 20 gallon tank, I doubt that it would be a deal.

If you want Marshall Island live rock I would suggest Black Coral Hawaii in Santa Ana. If you tell Clint I sent you, he will sell it anywhere from $4.50 - $5.50 per lb., depending how much you want. Since you get to pick the pieces, you can choose the size and shapes you want. Also the rock is fully cured in their system. I highly doubt you would need more than 15 lbs for a 20 gallon tank. Fiji rock is more dense than Marshall Island rock so you would need roughly double the weight of rock to fill the same size tank.

Ben in Van Nuys just broke down a few tanks, he has Marshall Is. rock,
for very cheap. I believe he also has live sand and some corals available.
Tell him Dennis recommended. He may be reached at: 818-335-8129, or

I would buy the cured rock for a nano tank. 1st choice from a local reefer on this board or 2nd: Reefermadness.us in Torrance.
