Cheato dying off

Okay, I am dosing with iron. My skimmer is exterior to my sump. I skim afer the water has passed through my macro algae.

Give your tank/sump more time and thin put some more inn.

IMO you don't need to dose cheato with iron--before that I would add some flake food to the refugium--they will break down and give you all the phosphates and nitrates you need

using any of the good named salt mixes and regular water changes gives you all the iodine, iron, and other trace elements you need.

My Cheato has stopped growing sense I got aggressive with GFO in a reactor.
